GRACE !!!

If there is one thing I have learnt in this short life of mine and in my even shorter journey as a Christian, it is that there is little we can achieve on our own. I know that we are told every day by motivational speakers, pastors, media and co that we should dream bigger, work harder, do this better, aim higher, do this and do that but I am here to tell you that even with all the rules and principles, THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH YOU CAN ACHIEVE.  Yeah, I just said that, sue me...lol. The reason am writing about grace is because I suddenly thought about my life, my family, my dreams and desires, where I am today, where I want to be tomorrow, where I wish I was and I realized that even though am not exactly "living the dream", I have come farther than I expected I will and I can only attribute it to GRACE. Even our journey as Christians is a grace - journey because as much as we try to walk the walk and talk the talk, we still make some "mistakes' here and there and even the Bible told us that  "if we think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall" (I Cor 10:12).

It is very easy for us to take for granted things that we only got by Grace like salvation, life, our families, friends, jobs, good health e.t.c. In this Christmas season, lets us remember that we have all we have on the platform of GRACE, not our works or looks or connections or uprightness. Let us remember all those who knew how to do it better but never got the job, those who were better looking but didn't get the good husband or wife, the people who are richer but still do not have the good health you have or those who have died because of the "seemingly minor head ache or stomach upset" you used one 50 Naira drug for. I can go on and on but this is just a post that is asking all of us to recall all the good things God has done for us in the course of this year and all the years we have lived. We might not have achieved all the goals we set out to achieve this year, we might have lost somethings or some people but the bottom line is we are here, as long as we are alive there is always the chance to do it better.
As we are remembering the grace of God that we have enjoyed in innumerable measures, let us also extend the same grace to other people. Let us give people several chances the same way God gives us. I know it is difficult and I won't even try to pretend I do it often but am trying to learn,  unlearn and re-learn because if God were to also deal with us according to the level of our unfaithfulness and the way we mess up, I don't even want to think of what would have become of us.

As this year is coming to an end,  let us remember to thank God for His so many blessings, reach out to people and share the love, hope and joy that this season brings.
I wish each and everyone of us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance.

Thanks for stopping by, stay positive...xxx
